What Can the IoT Connectivity Industry Expect in 2024?
We recently attended MWC 2024 in Barcelona where we had the pleasure of interviewing some of the industry’s biggest leaders from Eseye, Mavoco, floLIVE and KORE about the top trends for IoT in 2024.
“I don’t see one big overriding trend but rather many small developments that lead to big changes in the industry.”
Phat Huynh, CEO at Mavoco
The IoT connectivity industry is constantly experiencing ongoing developments and changes.
In 2024, enterprise demands and requirements for IoT are shifting. Regulation and performance requirements have raised a debate over roaming versus localised connectivity, while operators are looking towards programmatic network services to extend flexibility to end-customers.
There are also challenges that still need to be solved, with the industry struggling to make sense of 5G, security risks and the SGP32 specification.
In 2024, AI stands out as a prominent topic in industry discussions. Are there real-word applications from an IoT service provider perspective, or is it merely another buzzwordor akin to crypto or the metaverse?
