Our Chief Commercial Officer, Jon King, introduced the session to our audience and provided an overview of the upcoming insights that were about to be discussed. The exciting agenda for the session covered 5G roaming, private network opportunities, travel eSIM and IoT connectivity.
Jon also provided our audience with an exclusive update of our upcoming research studies and offered insight into what they can expect from Kaleido over the coming months.
5G Roaming Unveiled
Our Chief of Research, Nitin Bhas, then provided our audience with an overview of the latest 5G roaming market trends and outlook, alongside current operator views towards 5G SA, both domestically and for roaming across the world.
Nitin shared key findings from our MNO Q1 2023 survey, discussing launch expectations and adoption from over 100 respondents.
We also delved into further insights from our latest roaming data hub and evaluated Kaleido’s predictions on the upcoming 5G roaming outlook.
Latest Trends in Private Networks
Next, it was over to our Principal Analyst, James Moar, to delve into our latest private network findings, looking at key market trends, implications and opportunities.
We encorprated findings from Kaleido’s 2023 Enterprise Cellular IoT Connectivity Survey, providing viewers with insight on market needs from the responses of 800 enterprises worldwide on their attitudes and needs from private networks.

It was then back to Nitin, who shared insight into the growth and impact of travel eSIM within the roaming sector.

We also explored the key players who are currently driving growth within the consumer market.
Consumer & IoT eSIM Reshaping Connectivity
Finally, our Chief of Research, Steffen Sorrell, covered all things IoT connectivity. Steffen discussed key findings from our latest comprehensive study from consumer and IoT eSIM profiles.
We looked at the future of eSIM, exploring the evolution of technology, examining industry specification development in addition to how operator and enterprise strategies around eSIM are likely to evolve going forward.
